random things

This post will be totally random and maybe even uninteresting- sorry in advance

- I had Patten in July and pretty much dropped off the face of internet land. honestly I am sick of blogging, facebook, pinterest and KSL news. Although instagram- THAT i am not sick of!
- We packed up our apartment in Virginia and flew to Utah for a few weeks to enjoy our family reunion.
- We blessed Patten in Utah with LOTs of family there with. The spirit was so sweet that day. I even bore my testimony in church and cried and made a fool of myself. Oh well.
- While I was packing up our apartment one day I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to piles of hair all over the floor and coffee table in front of me. Grace decided it was hair cut time! She managed to cut off 5 inches all the way around and add bangs. I was so sad.
- Speaking of haircuts, earlier in the week I came home to Josh giving Patten a mow hawk! Guess I wont be saving any of those tiny hairs for his "first hair cut"
- We have moved back to California! We are so excited to be here close to my family and have found a perfect house to rent and a great new ward.
- Neal has changed so much in the past few months. He can now speak in sentences and almost always says- watch this Mom! He can also count to 3, jump off the couch and land on two feet and put his shoes on by himself.
- Josh bought the kids cap guns for the drive from Utah to California and Neal has not set his down. He says "pewww pewww" You know, the gun noise.
- Neal has started potty training himself this week, so we will see how that goes. Today he used the toilet 3 times and the floor just as many.
- Grace started swim lessons last week and they taught her how to kick her legs and how to "ride the horsey". Later that night we went to pool with Alec and Cari and Grace showed them how she knows how to swim underwater with her eyes open and how she can do front flips! What! We were all looking at each other so confused. Go Grace!
- My house is almost always picked up these days. Seriously. One night Josh taught Grace about the gunny sack and thats all it took. There is no way that she is going to let any one of her toys be eaten by a scary monster that eats things that are left out at night.
- I miss my sisters and Mom that live in Utah.
- Randomly this week I woke up with a kink in my neck and Josh threw his back out. We are both laughing at each others awkwardness.
- We have barbecued with family and friends 5 out the last 7 nights and I have loved the great company! This week we are going to buy a little fire pit for the backyard so we can hang out and roast marshmallows and chat till late. Anyone want to come eat some smores with us?
- Last week my parents watched all the grand kids while the sisters shopped. It was such a weird feeling to be running around to all these stores without three little followers.
- Josh is now working for a new security company that we are really excited about. We have rented an office for him out here that is down the street and I am in charge of decoration and designing.
- Patten has been sleeping through the night for a week now and I feel like I have more energy than I know what to do with. Thank you babywise
- Pattens baby acne had me worried when it decided to stick around for a month! It is finally gone and I have been kissing his soft cheeks and rubbing my nose with his.
