Cute Pumpkins

My friend Lindsay told me about a patch in Herriman that had pumpkins, a little corn maze, tractors, a black cat. Grace loved the wheel barrow rides and eating lots and lots of hay with her cute cousins.

WE ARE HOME!!!

We have been home for about a week and a half now... and it feels good. REAL GOOD!

- My freezer is almost empty (this means we are almost done!)

- New shoes (thanks Fish)
- A hot husband (I think he has been doing something new.. to his hair or something? He is just so hot to me)
- A healthy 17.5 lb pumpkin, i mean Grace
- My new Mom Agenda
- Using our fireplace
- Wearing sweaters and hoodies
- Starting my new filing system (we need more room BAD)
- Having someone start (and finish) our yard just in time before it gets too cold
- My sister Jenilyn's baby that will be here in 4 weeks
- Thanksgiving with the Mixa's and the Van Wagenen's
- Having my sister Mel and husband Jason and kids come stay with us
- Making pumpkin cookies (or pumpkin anything) in MY oven in MY house
- Going through all of my mail from the past month (i know im wierd, i love this)
- Arranging my picture collage in my front room
- An expensive trip to Sweet Briar Hollow = ) (thanks Fish)
- Grace is still nursing! Yay!
- Reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Very Quiet Cricket to Grace cuddled up with blankets on the couch at 8 am.
- Costumes for Hailey and I for next Friday
- Hmm.. Fake tree or real??
- Celebrating Lorna's birthday with family
- Seeing Brandon and Hill's new yard and playing on their grass. (we have dirt)
- The Icon banquet
- Sleeping in our cal king bed with our white down comforter
- A trip to Maui this winter

And Ill stop, im getting too carried away. But it was FUN!

Home for Conference

This last weekend we were home for a visit to enjoy a nice weekend with family. Cari and Alec stayed with us along with our friends Dave and Kelly. We enjoyed so many favorites this weekend including... Dinner at Missy and Greg's, watching Grandma Lorna and Grandpa Craig get some giggles and smiles out of Grace, our cal king bed, Cafe Rio with Cari and Alec, Cari and I's 20 minute Costco splurge to start our food storage (in the pouring rain), Conference and more conference, Papa Murphy's pizza with Jenilyn, John and Wes (sad i didnt get a picture with Jenilyn's TINY (due in 5 1/2 weeks) tummy), peeking in and Brandon and Hill's (new) yard and beautiful home( if i could i would copy and paste their style into my home), a late night with my cousins Leah and Sara, time with Josh's mission companions who are both (almost) engaged to beautiful girls, using my washer and dryer that i love because they don't bleach or rip my clothes, a sweet visit by Miss and Jake and Kate, a delicious (salmon, red potatoes, veggies, salad and apple crisp!)dinner at Lorna and Craig's, good talks with Craig and Jared (we missed you Beth and Thomas and cant wait to see you in a few weeks). Sorry this is so long i just want to remember it! Here are some fun pictures. Wish i had taken more.

Fishing and Tricks

On Tuesday we went with Kelly, David and James (welcome to the Denver Icon Family!) to Dave's Uncles house. He has a beautiful property in the middle of nowhere and a pond that is loaded with fish. Here are some pictures of how much fun we had.

Then the boys got bored with the fishing so they rigged an old purple bike with flat tires and no brakes! Kelly and I laughed and laughed as we let our "boys be boys"

I have twins!

I'm not saying my husband acts like a baby. I just think he is as cute as one. And I sure do love them Both. Life is great!

Saturday Night Out

Because all of our husbands work late on Saturdays we try and plan something fun to make the day go by faster. Last Saturday we all went to Costa Vida and then to the Super Target across the street. Costa Vida was delicious and Target was a blast. We had 3 carts, 6 adults and 5 kids.

Taya, Hailey, Kendra, Branson, Jen, Kayson, Emily, Kelly, Grace and I. And baby Sienna was on the ground in her car seat.

Dolls

A few months ago i saw my friend Dena and she had just made some dolls for her daughter. I thought they were the cutest things! So, i tried, but was not very successful. These are proof of my attempt to make something handmade for Grace. See them professionally here.

Fly

There has been a fly in our house for almost a week! Or maybe 6 different ones, i swear i have killed one everyday. He flies around bugging the heck out of me. But not Grace. She has become quite fond of him. She even giggles at him. He lands about 2 feet in front of her and just as she tries to poke him he flies another 2 feet. Now she can crawl.

Today he (the fly) landed on the metal wisk she was playing with, Grace twirled the wisk and he was off... to the couch, so she crawled over and pulled herself up to try and poke him. Maybe we do owe this fly at least a roof over his head, for finally teaching our daughter that being in one spot is not so fun after all.

Yuck! Nevermind.

I found Grace like this after we got home from a fun outing at the hobby shop with Daddy. I know, she has some boogers, but i think the picture is so darn cute!

2 Lucky Years

This is my FAVORITE dessert. The lemon bar brulee.

Over a nice dinner at Claim Jumpers, we talked about the things we have done this past year: Successful summer with work, new house, car, baby, ran (well sorta) a 5k, worked some more, and about the things we would like to do for the next year. It was so nice to be out together.

Utah

While we were home for a few days we were able to see my friends Lindsay and Lauren, spend some time on the lake, shopping with Jenilyn & Wes, and lunch with our Argentine cousin Leah and cousin Sara. JP had to work but it was fun to see him for 5 min before we headed up the canyon.

Peterson Reunion 2008

Every year we look forward to the Peterson reunion.This years reunion was so much fun.. Lots of family, fun games and FOOD. We celebrated Melissa's birthday on Friday night(cake). And then Jenny's on Sunday(ice creme). In between, we had church(delicious chicken), made cute stepping stones, the legendary sawdust hunt(snickers, twix, reeses, licorice and animal crackers), and a sweet surprise.... Leah and Sara (my cousins) came up to play games with us(7 layer dip).

Our apologies to Dan and Kanessa (who had to share a room with us) for not letting them get any sleep. We finally found out TODAY why Grace woke every hour during the night.. she popped another bottom tooth!

Surprise!

This weekend while we were at our family reunion Josh surprised me with this bad boy! I was so excited i almost cried. I have SO much to learn, and cant wait to get started.

The other night we went and played lazer tag. Hill beat EVERYONE with 2600 points. I was so confused when i finished and had 0 points. I asked the guy and he told me that I just must have been hit more times than i shot others. haha
